Privacy Policy

Introduction

Polygonale Inc. ("Polygonale," "we," "our," or "us") publishes local-first mobile applications, including EvoluFit (each, an "App"). This Privacy Policy explains our approach to your information. Our Apps are designed so that your data stays on your device. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal or health information.

Our local-first approach

EvoluFit and our other Apps store the information you enter — workouts, habits, meals, measurements, photos, and preferences — locally on your device only. Polygonale does not receive, access, or store this data on our servers. There is no Polygonale account, no cloud sync to Polygonale, and no analytics pipeline that sends your app activity to us.

Information stored on your device

Depending on how you use the App, data stored locally on your device may include:

  • Profile and preferences: Settings and choices you configure in the App
  • Health and fitness data: Weight, measurements, workouts, habits, and related logs
  • Meals and nutrition: Food entries, favorites, and nutrition estimates you save
  • Photos: Progress photos and meal photos you choose to capture
  • API keys: If you optionally add your own AI provider key, it is stored in your device's secure storage

You control this data. You can review, edit, export, or delete it through the App. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device, subject to your device's operating system behavior.

What we do not collect

Polygonale does not collect:

  • Your health, fitness, or nutrition logs on our servers
  • Your photos on our servers
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking sent to Polygonale
  • Advertising identifiers for Polygonale's own marketing

We do not sell your personal information.

Optional features that use the network

Core App features work offline with data on your device. Some optional features you choose to use may connect to third-party services. Polygonale still does not receive or store your app data from these interactions.

Barcode scanning

If you scan a product barcode, the App may send the barcode number to Open Food Facts to look up public product information. Only the barcode is sent — not your meal history or other personal data.

Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription, payment and receipt validation are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and may involve their subscription partners (such as RevenueCat) to verify your purchase status. That process involves transaction identifiers required for billing — not your workout, habit, or nutrition logs. See Apple's and Google's privacy policies for how they handle payment data.

AI meal analysis (optional)

If you choose to use AI-assisted meal logging, the meal photo and/or description you submit for that single analysis may be sent to an AI provider to generate an estimate. This happens only when you explicitly request it. Meal data you save in the App remains on your device. If you use your own API key, requests go from your device directly to that provider under your account.

Data security

Because your data is stored on your device, its security also depends on protections you use on your device — such as a passcode, biometric lock, and keeping your operating system updated. We design our Apps to minimize unnecessary network access and to keep sensitive values (like optional API keys) in platform secure storage where available.

Your rights

Because we do not hold your app data on our servers, most requests to access, correct, or delete your information can be handled directly by you in the App or by removing the App from your device.

If you are in Canada, you may have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Quebec privacy law. Contact us if you have questions about this policy or our practices.

Children's privacy

Our Apps are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has contacted us with personal information, please reach out.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be noted in the App where appropriate.
